the sun and the moon
dazzle dim mortals
and make the starsswoon
a desperate chase
across the skies create
fleeting glances
but still a moment too late
"come back" says the sun
to no reply
the moon's already on
the other side of the sky
"wait for me!" cries the moon
with no response
the sun is occupying
other horizons with nonchalance
will the two bodies
ever unite?
or forever partake
in the chase of the other's light?
