I see your smile in the crescent moon and your eyes in the gleaming stars. I feel your warmth under my blankets and I hear your laughter in the bustling wind.
I see you around my house. I see you leaning casually against a wall as I pass and I hear you ask me where I'm going in such a hurry, with a grin on your face. I squeeze my eyes shut and will you to be gone.
Because I know you're not there. If you were, you would have caught me by my wrist as I was passing and taken me into your arms, placing kisses on the top of my head, my nose, my jaw line.
But you didn't.
