the life that shows youre alive
a life filled with daring strife
between me and reprieve
i felt no need to rule the world
or let the world rule me
but simply that there was no world
the only thing was me
i let my shouts of joy echo,
floating through the streets
the violent wind turned soft to show
that i deserve this retreat
it was as if id been asleep
my 'life' was just a dream
i had woken from my sleep
excitement, a joyous scream
today i got a taste of life
