Untitled

Your skin brushes lightly against my own
Helping me stay grounded
And your lips skim my collarbone
Leaving me astounded

Your palms leave the impression of warmth
On the nape of my neck
It draws me forward, tugs me forth
Into your scent I so easily get lost in

I nuzzle my features into your hair
And you brush mine back with your fingers
So that you can look into my eyes with a loving stare
And when you pull away, the elation lingers

Your palm caresses my back
That bows to get closer to you
The curve of the contact
Keeps our connection true

How long shall we wait
To just give in the passion?
We shouldn't, I say
There's no need to ration

So give in, we do
And neither of us feel guilty
For we've done nothing wrong, it's true
We've just kept our garden from wilting

Smile, my love
Although you already are
It's hard not to because of
This burning happiness of ours

While you hold me in your arms
I couldn't be more at home
You are my good luck charm
So I'll take you wherever I may roam

I can sense when your gaze
Focuses on me
And doesn't turn away
Just memorizes, lovingly

And my eyes flutter closed
And my lips curl into a grin
Every piece of me exposed
Ready for you to draw in

Which you do, with a squeeze
And your arms hug my waist
I lean into it with ease
Relishing where your hands are placed

You whisper phrases in my ear
That cause my heart to beat louder
It's inevitable when you're near
So I let it's thud thunder

I feel your mouth smile
When you can sense my nerves
And I can't help but laugh while
I finally receive what I deserve
